Auditions Unwrapped  with Jonathon Cole-Swinard

For every young artist, auditions are the most challenging and intimidating aspect of their career, eliciting a roller coaster of responses from the elation of being offered a role to the niggling self-doubt of rejection. A career as an emerging opera singer is not for the faint hearted! This morning’s event brings both sides of the panel together with Jonathon Swinard (Head of Music at Garsington Opera) and Opera Prelude Young Artist, Annabel Kennedy, offering audience members the chance to discover the secrets of a successful audition.

The session will take the form of an interview with Q&As followed by a mock-audition masterclass. Simone Ibbett-Brown (soprano,) Annabel Kennedy (mezzo) and Eliran Kadussi (countertenor) will present arias for Jonathon to offer advice.
