Opera Prelude is a registered charity, established in 2010. For over 10 years, we’ve been creating performance opportunities for young singers in the transitional period between leaving conservatoire and embarking on a professional career. We also support the professional development of our artists through offering mentorship, professional advice and networking opportunities.

Our friendly and informal events form a bridge across the footlights, providing education and entertainment both for seasoned aficionados and those fresh to the art form. Opera Prelude is for everybody: we care about making performance careers accessible to singers from all walks of life, while ensuring that interesting, engaging and high-quality live performance are available to diverse audiences.
