We had a wonderful morning in The Garrison Chapel, London with Maestro Renato Balsadonna. He spoke about conducting Verdi’s masterpiece Rigoletto. Catherine Hooper, soprano, Anna Cooper, mezzo soprano, Charles Styles, tenor and Patrick Keefe, baritone all gave stellar performances.
In Henley, The Beautiful and the Damned: pious heroine versus femme fatale lecture recital by Catherine Hooper’s, soprano was an incredible morning. Catherine’s performance of the Queen of the Night, known as one of the most difficult soprano arias, was the highlight of the morning.
Young Artist News:
Alexander Chance recorded his debut album with Toby Carr on Lute. The pair went to Germany to record a recital of English lute songs, a programme of largely melancholic but occasionally uplifting works by Dowland, Campion, Danyel, Purcell and others: music that captured something of the spirit of that time of lockdowns and cancelled concerts. This recording, Drop not, mine eyes, will be released on Linn Records on 28th April.

Ben Knight is working lots with ETO (now an Emerging Artist) which will be soon shared publicly. He is working on lots of ROH projects, and big plans to be working with them on their SEND developments.

Alexander Aldren sang at an NHS ceremony at the National Memorial Arboretum - a beautiful ceremony commemorating those lost from the health service during the Covid pandemic - Link Here - well worth a watch!
Also, Rossini's Petite Messe in Eye and Mozart's Requiem in Frome. Such great place names!
