Morning Warm up

Connecting to yourself, connecting to others

A physical warmup that focuses on connecting to your own body, breath and grounding. We will then take our connection to self into connecting to others. 

Alex Gotch - Director and Movement Director, worked at RBO, Opera Comique, Garsington Opera and Longborough Festival Opera. Semifinalist in the European Opera Directing prize. 

Professional Development Seminars 

Seminar 1: Entrepreneurship & Pitching Projects 

Speaker: David Taylor – Arts Innovator & Consultant 
Be flexible and ready to learn! The classical music industry has been transformed—digital, entrepreneurial, and fast-changing.

Seminar 2: Top Tax Tips for Artists 

Speaker: Sinead Pratschke – Orpheus Accounting 
Taxes don’t have to be scary! Learn how to make life easier by staying tax-savvy and avoiding costly mistakes. 
A former opera singer turned tax advisor, Sinead now runs her own practice, specialising in helping musicians and arts professionals. She’ll share practical strategies to keep your finances stress-free. 

Seminar 3: To Chorus or Not to Chorus? 

Speakers: William Spaulding, Alex Haigh & Megan Nelson 
Could a chorus career be more inspiring—and better paid—than you imagined? Explore how chorus singing can fit alongside solo ambitions. Gain first-hand insight from leaders at the Royal Opera House and Welsh National Opera on bridging the gap between chorus and solo work. 

Seminar 4: Working in Europe 

Speakers: Nina Brazier & Catherine Hooper

The early years of your professional career can feel like a maze—this session offers guidance on how to map your path, seize opportunities, and thrive as an emerging artist.

Speaker: Hannah Griffiths – Associate Director, Opera Europa 
Join Hannah Griffiths as she shares invaluable insights into building a career across borders. A must-attend for artists looking to expand their international networks and make meaningful global connections.
